Very warm to the touch

My female's head gets very warm at times. Anybody know why this would happen?

It's very weird.

Thanks

Re: Very warm to the touch

Our 5 YO male "notweiler's" head does the same thing. It IS weird. He is well taken care of, fully vetted, healthy as a horse....but this happens every now and then and no one can tell us why.

Re: Very warm to the touch

have you taken the dog's temp with a thermometer? I had a dog that would spike fevers and I could tell because his head was hot. he had kidney problems.

Re: Very warm to the touch

Dogs normal temps are between 101-102F.

A digital thermometer with a cover works great. This will be the time to learn if your dog knows the 'stand' command.

If your dog is running a fever, get it into the vet... they will run all the necessary tests to see what's going on.
