Patches hair loss around eyes..Side effect from Pred??

I noticed earlier this week that Angel has some small patches of hair loss around her eyes. There are four patches around her left eye (not raised or discoloration noted). And one raised on her right top eyelid. They are all very small and all flesh colored. They don't seem to bother her (not itching or anything). There isn't any new chemical use in our home or yard. She has at times been eating grass and weeds from my unweeded flower bed . So, I weeded and have been watching her closely. No new changes in diet..still on home-prepared diet for IBS. The only change is that we have started training for aggression at our dog training facility. However, she has never had any close contact with other dogs or cats there. She is on Prednision, Pecid, Vit E, and MVI. The pred is 10mg every other day. I have noticed that she has had increased growth of hair on her chin (has a nice goatee going on ). It is actually really cute! I was wondering if pred can make your hair fall out? Is this possibly from pred? I called my vet at home and left a message and am awaiting her to call back still? I would normal rush her right on over...but she has serious aggression issues from being poked and proded on and has issues with her eyes from cherry eye surgery in the past- all of which we are working on trying to help her get over with this one on one special aggression training.. so I am trying not to take her to the vet unless she really needs it. Any advice would be great likely appreciated.

The first thing that springs to mind is mange. That would require a skin scrape and it sounds like she would have to be sedated for that.

Just curious...what is "Aggression training"?

Sounds like mange to me, too. Hair loss from pred is usually a general thinning of the entire coat, and most pronounced bilaterally on the sides of the body, in the ribcage area.

My dog had no hair loss at all when using the dosage you are using for Angel.

She has aggression issues from being poked and proded on by numberous vets...so now that she is doing better, we are strongely addresses this aggression issue with our dog trainer through private training classes. That is what is meant by aggressive training... I know that was poorly worded ...sounds like we trying to train to be be aggressive...NO!! the other way around. I want my kitten of a dog back. Again sorry about that.

Sounds like demodectic mange to me too. It is more common in puppies. In adult dogs it can be an indication of some other immune system problem.

I would get her scraped too.

That is exactly what I am thinking. I looked at her eyes and inspected the rest of her body well last night when I got home from work. (If fact, despite this probably not contributing any helpfulness, I gave her a good bath last night ). Any ways, the four patches on the left eye have gone away..I mean on Wednesday, I had friends pointing them out..definitely noticiable. But now gone. The raised one on her right eye is still there and slightly raised, but has a small red scab on it. I told my fiance to keep an eye on her and if she continues like this, we definitley need to be seen on Monday morning. THe thing is, I am going out of town late this week to my parents house for wedding preparation stuff (was the only weekend I could get off from work) and she has two dogs her self and I DEFINITELY don't want to "share the love"...you know what I am saying. You may spread kindness but not germs (or mites for that matter) . Should I go to the vet anyways, even if it looks alot better. I just don't want to think I am crazy

If it is demodex it is not contangious. But I do not understand how hair loss can go away over night? It takes weeks for the hair to grow back....
