Abbie's Vet visit

Marcus took Abbie to the Vet this afternoon (he got her from the shelter on Saturday, she still had her stitches from being desexed) she had been lethargic the last couple of days, wasn't interested in food or going for a walk. They said she has some kind of stomach bug and gave him antibiotics to give her and some cream for her incision. Glad he took her, hopefully she will start to feel much better soon. The Vet said he thinks she's a purebred and that she's around the age the shetler said - 1 1/2 years old and that she's in good shape.

I hope Abbie is feeling better. My Daisy was very sleepy and lazy for several days after she was spayed too. Now that Abbie has her "forever home," I am sure she will perk right up. Welcome, Abbie.

Abbie is improving.....

She's not allowed to eat yet, but she's starting to chase her ball (at times when she's not being kept quiet) and starting to bounce a bit. The Vet feels it was a stomach bug and I guess coming from a shelter it's very possible. I rang the shelter to ask them how much she weighed and they said they don't record the weight - how then did they give her the right amount of worming or heartworm preventative?

Maybe they weighed her and just didn't write it down? I don't know. Good to hear she's feeling better though. Yay Abbie!
