Arrow Weight wise what do you use as Flea/Heartworm preventative

I've haven't been here in awhile, but my brother has just bought a one year old female Rotti. I am trying to work out what products he should use. I read Revolution is only up to 40kg, so I guess the only way to go is a separate flea preventative and heartworm preventative. I read the Advocate is for dogs over 25kg, but it doesn't say up to what size. At this stage am leaning towards Frontline Plus and Heartgard, but the site I used doesn't say what the largest heartgard is. I would have preferred her to be on Revolution like the rest of our dogs.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i use frontline plus for fleas and ticks...89-132 lbs size every other month.
preventic collars for ticks when going to problem areas.
heartgard plus chewables for heartworms.one large size up to 100lbs and those that pass 100lbs, get an extra chew size small to go with it.

I use Interceptor for Heartowrm (used to use Heartgard but doesn't kill whipworms which Ben had last year - YUCK!), and to be honest I don't use anything for fleas. I give the dogs garlic & brewers years tablets with each meal and haven't had a flea on them since I started using it.

I DO use a flea/tick killing shampoo in the spring & fall. Ben had a reaction to the topical flea/tick preventative so I decided against using it again. After a lengthy outing they are checked over thoroughly for ticks.

For dogs 100 - 110, you dont need to give the heartgard small, just the up to 100lbs will work. A marketing rep for Heartgard told me this when I worked in a vet's office about 10 yrs ago and Ive never given my dogs that are up to 110 extra chews, I live in VA and have never had a dog test positive. Also I only give HW preventative every 6 weeks and not at all after hard freezes till it warms back up to 55.
