Thumbs up Limping Please Help

I dont know if this is the correct forum for this but, id appriciate the help and im sorry if it isnt.

My 5 month old pup has been limping for about two days (today is the second). This has happened once before and we took him to the vet straight away the vet felt him around and then said that its nothing because the dog didnt show any signs of pain and that he probably hurt himself running or playing. After that the limping went away and it came back yesterday.
Ive exammined both of his legs , but he is fine, and doesnt show any signs of pain. When we play and i throw him something, if he runs he DOESNT limp..but when he walks slowly he limps. Its the front right leg..
Ive tried pressing it around and running and he runs just fine and doesnt show any signs of pain..

Ok so what could this be?
We are gonna take him to the vet again tomorrow or maybe even today and im gonna ask for an xray..

It could be many things. In the meantime, until you have a diagnosis and treatment plan, don't let him run anymore!!! He should be on leash for all activity until you get it figured out.

We went to the vet straight away... and we had to leave him there for xrays...
We think he has Osteochondritis Dissecans?
:(
We are gonna take the xray ..but the vet said the xray may not show it
He might have to have a surgery :( im so worried.

HOPEFULLY FINGERS CROSSED that the limping stops

Remember to restrict his activity at the same time. If he has an injury, each slip allowing him to tear around puts you back at square one for healing.

If the xrays showed nothing, why would they suggest surgery? What do they think they're going to go "fix" ??

well we took him to a specialist my breeder recommended..she said the surgery is just something they suggest to get more money out of you..
The specialist checked him and it turns out he had pulled a muslce due to his hyper activity..we were told to not play games like fetch with him..because hes a fairy big puppy for his age and it places a lot of pressure on his bones.. i dont know she seems to know what shes talking about..she did something to him like a massage and now he isnt limping any more.

I would definately see a specialist for piece of mind...

If your dog does have OCD, this is the time to operate....
