| Ate a chicken wing- anything to do? I just finished eating a single fried chicken wing and wrapped it up in a paper towel. Cipher rang the bell to be let out, so jumped up and took her out. When I came back, the paper towel was on the floor and Fizbin was licking his lips. Is there anything I can do besides wait with baited breath and pray that nothing bad will happen?

| Is he a gulper or a chewer? If it were my crunch up and chew girl that ate a chicken wing, I wouldn't worry, but if it was the gulper, I would. If you catch something like this right away, I would feed a few slices of bread wait a few minutes and then induce vomiting. 1Tbs of Hydrogen Peroxide usually does the trick. The bread acts as a cushion so the sharp bones don't do any damage on the way back up. Or, you could feed the bread and let it go through, hoping for the best. We went through this a couple of years ago when we left some pork bones within Bree's easy reach. They were so sharp that I'm glad I made her "give them back".

| I had one of those precooked whole chickens my DH left the carcass on the coffee table instead of taking it to the trash outside. At the time the big dogs were crated at night, but the little ones had run of the house. Next morning when I get up all that is left if the container. I was livid and it was much to late to do anything about it. Everything came out just fine though, no vomiting or diarrhea. I would be concerned about inducing vomiting if he crunched it up and caused bone splinters. I don't know if letting things move more slowly and naturally might be better or not...

| I didn't think about leaving the chicken wing on the coffee table. Unfortunately I wrapped it up in the paper towel which is a favorite of Fizbin. If I had just not wrapped it up, it would still be safe on the table. Shortly after eating it, he destuffed a stuffy and ate some stuffing(say that 5 times fast ). I am hoping the stuffing protects his gut from the bones. He can be a gulper or a cruncher- depends on how much "pressure" he is feeling. It could have gone either way. He ate his dinner two hours later with gusto. I am hoping he will be fine.
