That was going to be my question. I give you a lot of credit...it has gotta be so hard restricting her.

I am so glad Bree is doing so well!!!
Abby is at the hospital now. I got a call, not to mention I have called 4 times today, they say everything went well, it was not 100% torn, he said 95% torn. The last time I called they said she was sitting up???? Is she supposed to be sitting up? He said he doesn't want me to use the brace, he said it will slow her recovery? I was so excited about the brace because that is my worry, she will jump before she ready. He said he will get it for me if I want it. So I might just go ahead and get it anyway.

Christy,

I just saw this, but I'm glad it is not OS..... I sure hope the brace does the trick for her.

Things are not going as we had hoped.
The knee has worsened to the point she won't put any weight at all on it.
Although confined, I'm not sure if she did something while we were at work or what.

We have a consult with the orthopedic specialist tomorrow morning. Please keep Bree in your thoughts and prayers. Seeing my girl like this just breaks my heart.

While in for the bw, Doc took another feel and look...That knee is NOT loose at all. Doesn't act like a cruciate tear ...
She does indicate pain upon straightening the leg and there is crepidice (sp?) <crunching> in the joint. Maybe a mouse that can be removed arthroscopically? I can only hope...

Sedation, more radiographs and consult in the morning... I'll let you know what the experts have to say.

Thanks for the support everyone. I am really not handling this well.

Christy, I'm so sorry to hear this.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that things go well and that it can be figured out and get to the bottom of it. I know you must be so worried sick.

Please know you and Bree will be in my thoughts!!! Hugs!!!

Please update us when you can.

Well, here's the bad news and good news all in a nutshell...

No sedation or additional radiographs needed, Ortho says TPLO, asap.
His schedule says the 13th but he put us as a rush on the cancellation list. I'm happy that it is something that can be repaired but I had hoped that my Bree would not have to go through this.
At least she will have a fantastic surgeon and an experienced home nurse too.
Only time will tell if she can go back to doing the work she loves.

All the techs at the clinic say that "TPLO" should be an official title...

High in Trial Diriget Dues Bree-Ann CDX, ASCA CD, IDGDT, CGC, TPLO?
I hope it's a TPLOX...
