eye problem please help!

I have a Rottweiler puppy who has an eye problem. She has a black spot on the corner of her eyeball that has hair growing from it. (In the white area) The black spot is raised kinda like a mole. Has anyone ever seen this, and do you know what it is. Thanks.

Never heard of such a thing. Sounds like you need to get the dog into the vet. Hairs can easily scratch the eyeball and that's most uncomfortable for the dog.

I have read about this although not in the Rottweiler. Can't remember the name for it, but yes, it does need to be surgically removed and soon or it can damage the eye.

Uggh. I've heard of these in people.....the thought of it makes all my hair stand up....Basically, it's a few stray cells that go crazy and develop where they shouldn't.You can have a Dermoid Cyst removed that will have lots of hair, or even a TOOTH inside of it.
I had a friend who had to have one removed when she was almost 7 months pregnant....it turned out to be a huge ball of black hair...Icck.

I agree with the others...it should be removed ASAP.
