Arrow His OFA Results are IN!!

Hips = Good
Elbows = Normal

I havn't gotten the paperwork back yet, but something told me tonight to check the OFA Website to see if they entered Jager in the database! Sure enough, there he was! He will be 5 this year, and I just wanted peace of mind for the future. I'm so excited!

Now here comes a question. He was not microchipped before I had him x-rayed. Has anyone ever had the NOPI changed on OFA paperwork? Is this even possible? I just want to make sure that everything is correct on his paperwork.

Re: His OFA Results are IN!!

You can't have "NOPI" changed without resubmitting new xrays. It's there to let people know that AT THE TIME of the xray, the dog had no positive ID. There are some very dishonest people in this world who have switched dogs to get a passing result. The purpose of the ID moniker is to let others know whether the dog was ID'd at the time of the films (because the tattoo or chip # is recorded right on the films). Adding a chip later doesn't solve the "switching dogs" dilemma.

Okay thanks. I can understand that. I wouldn't want them to think that I was switching dogs or anything. Thanks for the info Gretchen.
