Couple questions about hiccups and ticks

Hey all my boy brock is a little over 9 weeks old now and growing fast just had a few little questions pop up first of all a few times so far in the mornings or after he eats/drinks he will have hiccups. It usually doesn't last more than a couple minutes, but was just wondering if this is something that is normal like it is for humans?

My next question is about ticks, he has taken a couple walks in the woods and had some ticks on him that were removed, there are now some small bumps where those ticks were, I'm assuming these are just like scabs sort of or do I need to keep an eye on them? Also at what age is it ok to start on some type of anti-tick medication?

Re: Couple questions

Puppy hickups are totally common until the nerve to the diaphram matures.

If it makes you feel better you can put a little neosporin on the tick scabs, but it usually isn't necessary. Always search him thoroughly, between the toes, ear flaps, armpits, all the hidden places as well.

Ask your vet if there is something safe to use on him as ticks can carry nasty stuff.
