Hi - it's been a while

About a 2 weeks ago Nina (almost 4 yrs old) started excessive licking in her genital region. I inspected and found a reddish pimply rash - almost like a prickly heat looking kind of rash. Nothing had changed in her diet that I could think of and there are no chemicals in my grass. Between the vet and I we figured it was probably due to some urine leaking and irritation especially in the warm weather. She had been on phenylprop. pills in the past but I stopped them a little over a year ago because she wasn't leaking anymore. Now and then she drips a tiny bit but not like she used to. So anyway I got more pills but have not started them yet. I put Neosporin on her and the rash cleared up and I figured I'd start the pills after we got back from vacation. Which brings me to part 2. I took her to the beach for a few days (first time for her

) and on he second day she started chewing her paws. I thought maybe it was the sand so I would rinse them very well every day after coming off the beach and now we are home and she is still gnawing on them. I looked in between her toes and all and it looks a bit pink on all 4 paws so I did the Neosporin thing tonite and I'll see how she is over the next few days. (We just got home today.) I'm wondering though if some internal thing is causing allergic kind of reactions all of a sudden in her. I know people can develop allergies at any time so I would imagine dogs can too? She also had a itchy red patch a few weeks ago on her front leg and I Neosporin-ed it and it cleared up (gotta love the Neosporin). She has never had any skin problems or allergies ever and I'm trying really hard to think what I could have changed recently. Any suggestions or similar scenarios?
