Irritated Eye

I have noticed that the past day Mira has been squinting with one of her eyes. It looks to be a little irritated, and has a small amount of green goopy discharge.

She is scheduled to see her Vet at 5pm today.

Any ideas? We were playing ball the other day, and it may have bounced and hit her in the eye. Can this be an allergic reaction? She is fed Canidae, and gets no scraps. Occasionally she gets Carnivore Cookies but has gotten those since June. 3 weeks ago she began the supplement Fido Nutrients, Liquid Health.

I've also noticed that she has been doing a lot of digging, so she may have gotten some dirt in there.

Just being cautious.

Re: Irritated Eye

The pollen and mold counts are high here. Daisy has "eye goobers" in the morning. The vet said to use a drop of artificial tears morning and evening during mold and pollen and ragweed times. In the winter, her eyes are goober-free.
