Re: Time for a new vet???

From day one Czar has never been put on the table. When my vet enters the room she greets Czar then sits on the floor and does what she has too that way and of course does some things standing as well. I was impressed bc there policy is to muzzle large breeds bc they have been bitten on several ocassions from rotties and the very first time Czar had an appointment the vet tech went and got a muzzle, the vet came in and took one look at Czar and observed his body language and said there's no need to muzzle him plus I carry one with me anyway so I would have done it if it would allow her to examine him better but she said there was no need for one. Well the vet techs were shocked bc they're told to muzzle all large dogs. My vet and Czar have a wonderful relationship, heck maybe he knows she saved his life.

Bottom line is you and your dog have to be happy with your vet and if the vet has an attitude about your dog then yes you owe it to yourself and your dog to find another. Czar saw my vets associate ONE time and that was enough for me, they didn't click at all and she couldn't even examine him properly.

I wish you all the best Carol and I hope you find a vet your happy with and your girl is as well bc they can pick up on that and when you're uncomforatble he may be as well. Let us know how things are going.
