Elbow replacement for arthritis

My 7 – 8 year old guy has severe arthritis in his elbow. My vet told me Iowa University has started doing complete elbow replacements. It’s still in the experimental stages however, they’ve had some excellent results and many dogs have all ready had the surgery. Anyway…. He may be able to get us in the program. Does anyone live in that area that knows of a dog that has had the surgery? I know it’s a long shot, but I live in Ct and I would love to be able to talk to someone before I went ahead with it. - Fern
