http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...nt_scotties_dc

Interesting info and yet another reason to be careful of what we expose our dogs to.

Re: Lawn Chemicals Linked to Dog Cancer - U.S. Study

Ive been saying this for YEARS! I havent used anything chemical on my yard in over 10 yrs. You ever read a bag of diazinon? EXTREMELY hazardous to birds and water life. Hazardous to humans and domestic animals!! Stuff like this needs to be reexamined. Some household cleaners and such also say HAZARDOUS to humans and domestic animals. Cancer is on the rise in our pets and WHY???????????????????????????

Re: Lawn Chemicals Linked to Dog Cancer - U.S. Study

We have grass growing year round here in Florida and I have a service that puts chemicals down (both for pest control and fertilize). I only have a portion of the front lawn done and I never let the dog on that grass until after I have a chance to run the sprinklers to wash it down. Usually the day they spray and the next day, I just keep the dog in the back which we keep all natural. It's great if you have enough property to do that.
