Huhhhhhhh??????

Do you have teflon or tendons???? Teflon is what non-stick pans are coated with.

Re: teflon

Is this a dog toy designed to be chewed and swallowed? I've not heard of a teflon toy.

Re: teflon

I'm wondering why you would want him to chew on this instead of giving him a chew toy that is made for dogs? A nylabone or raw marrow bone will last a long time and is a much safer choice.

I don't give my dog anything rawhide and I wouldn't give her teflon, either.

Re: teflon

Oh my, I wouldn't give anything that wasen't for dogs and can be safely chewed. That reminds me of a woman who took her dog to be boarded at my vets and along with the dog she handed the vet tech a chew toy which was fine and a PLASTIC hanger she chews on it and it's her favorite toy, the owner said and one whole piece was missing from it. Well needless to say, they made her take it back home and told her the danger of it and the owner acted like it was no big deal. I don't even give any type of rawhide just bc of the way it swells in the belly.

Wow please be VERY careful of what you give your dog to chew bc MANY things are harmful, not to mention toxic. There are tons of good things to give your dog and one of the best things to chew is a natural RAW marrow bone.

Glad to hear it murdock ,the kong is a good idea though my boy plays very little with it and he's never chewed on it. You might want to try the nylabones, now those my boy will chew for hours but supervision is best especially if you have an aggressive chewer. Have you ever tried a raw marrow or chin bone, if not I'll bet your dog would love it? There's also a small red ball made out of the same material as the kong and Czar loves to play with that, he throws it up in the air and runs after it , it's another fun toy, one that isn't easilly chewed apart. It has cutout areas where you can put treats. I've never done that bc then they may expect a treat all the time and it can also contribute to obesity.

Perhaps I missed it but how old is your dog?

Re: teflon

A kong is a safe toy! You can stuff them, too. Here are a couple links with "Stuffed Kong Recipes"....

Re: teflon

As a side note, you might be careful with the raw bones that are just circular and hollow in the middle. Mia was chewing on one as a puppy and somehow got it over her bottom teeth and wrapped around her lower jaw! It was horrible. She's only allowed nylabones and the larger solid raw bones now.

Re: teflon

Or check out the selection of Nylabones. Julius is 16 months old & has about 6-7 Nylabones (yes, he is spoiled.... ) & we haven't had to throw one out yet. They're worth the price.
