scabby sores

I was grooming harley this weekend when I noticed he has these small scabby sores on his front left paw and one on his rump right below the anus.
Now a small tidbit of info that may help.....I had to give his three baths in a row last week due to the fact that he pottied in his crate and then decided to get it ALL over him.
I dont know if these sores may be due to dry skin or if it is an allergy or if it is an infection or what have you. he eats canadae and has since the 2nd week he was with us. (8 weeks old) He is now 5 months old.
I am going to watch them over the next few days and if it gets worse or does not get better I was going to take him to the Vet on Friday which is my Husbands day off.
Is this something I should take him in immediatly or can it wait till friday or does it just sound like dry itchy skin?

Re: scabby sores

"Dry skin" is usually characterized by widespread flaking, not localized sores. Infection, you should be able to spot inflammation and swelling. Allergy sores probably would be multiplying and spreading. Sounds more like roughhousing injuries to me.

I'd keep an eye on them for a few days.

UGH! And I totally forgot to mention that I was doggy sitting for a friend of mine this weekend. He came to the house Friday and Left yesterday. The sores started on Friday!
He is a full grown chow/sharpei mix....we call him the chowpei! heheh Anyway They LOVE to roughhouse! I bet that is what it was! Ugh! Ok I will keep an eye on them this week. Thanks for the heads up!
Is there anything i can put on them to make them better? I dont want to ue anything that can harm him as he is able to LICK the sores!
Also after reading a few articles, Is there any way this could be Mange or mites?
