| Your local Humane Society may have a program where you can get your dogs spayed/neutered rather inexpensively. It would be hard for us to tell you how much as it varies from area to area and state to state. If you want, I can check around. It seems like I heard of a website that has some type of coupon for spays/neuters.

| It depends on your area and your vet. I have seen it go from free to 30 to100 to so on bucks. Many SPCA's run vans out on certain days of the year and do it free of charge. If money is an issue call your area vet or rescue and tell them you really want your dog fixed but not sure how much you can afford and most...."NOT ALL" but most will help you find assistance.

| To neuter Zack cost me 180-dollars (CDN), and that was because he is 85 lbs. It is the weight of the dog that costs, if he isn't as heavy it will cost less. Ida owned by Zack the rottie |

| Nasty, I'm not sure if you asked because it is a money issue or if you are just wondering. First off if it is a money issue you may want to rethink having 2 dogs. Getting a dog fixed can be one of the least expensive things you will need to do to properly care for and raise a dog. I'm afraid to ask you but I'm going to anyhow. Most vets go over these prices with you when you get your dogs their proper vaccinations. Have you ever even taken your dogs into the vet? Given their ages you should have had a whole series of shots done already on both of them. I find it hard to believe you would not have some idea how much fixing your dogs would cost. Locate your area Rottweiler rescue or another responsible rescue center and let them know you landed two dogs, have your hands full and could use some education on what to do. A lot of breed rescues will give assistance in a spay/ neuter thing because they do not want to see any more puppies on the streets. Also here is a site that goes over some tips to prepare your self for vet cost: http://www.hsus.org/ace/11875 We will give you all the help we can but I really think you may be in over your head with this breed and you need to dig in and get busy and do some research.....;)

| When we were stationed in Alaska this last time it cost us $50.00 dollars to have our 13 year old, 100 lb. siberian husky/samoyed cross neutered and that included vet visit and anethesia.:) We had a kitten that we got in virginia neutered a couple of years later and it cost us only $20.00 dollars since we recieved a certificate offerred by the ASPCA in the town.:) |

In the last 12 months: 3 vet visits to dx lymphoma (including biopsy) 6 months of chemo (2-4x month) 2 emergancy vet visits 3 vet visits (including 2 to specialists) to dx lung infection. 3 additional visits to specialist vet for treatment of lung infection 2 follow visits from regular vet for lung infection The above is just what I remember for two dogs. physicals for 3 dogs including blood work Plus x-rays for OFA (hips and elbows), OFA Thyriod, CERF, Echocardiogram for OFA heart clearence. I paid out over $12,000 in vet bills in the last 12 months. The year before it was about $6,000 (TPLO surgery was a hunk of it). I got three dogs and the majority of the out flow is for two of them. The specialist vet and e-clinic folks keep on asking me when they are going to see my 3rd dog. I tell them NEVER!!!!! Rottweilers are not cheap to keep.
