| Subcutaneous Bumps Aloha, I have two male brothers that are 2.5 years old. Just recently my larger male developed patches of bumps. The bumps are in his chest area, outer rear thighs, and inner and outer forward legs. I lived in south Texas for many years and am familiar with fire ant bites. These bumps however, are not blistering nor do they present any sort of head. The size is about that of a pencil eraser and feels more as if it is under the skin. My other male has no signs of these bumps whatsoever and they do not appear to be itchy or bother him. I just bathed the boyz last week with their usual shampoo and they have not had a change in diet. OK let me know what your experiences are. Warmth and aloha, KB |

| Wonder if it's lymph nodes? I think I'd head to the vet and have one aspirated. Let us know when you find out.

| Keep in mind that you live in a tropical area and might have a number of things that could affect the dogs that the rest of us are not at all familiar with. Almost always the recommendation from here is going to be see your vet even if you do receive a dozen things it might be. Keep in mind that if you can see and feel something, no one here can at all and if you are in doubt, see the vet. Somethings are more critical than others. An example was a person who posted about his dog limping after an incident of some kind and after about 2 weeks of delay finally took the dog to a vet. It had a broken bone! Now bumps under the skin certainly don't sound critical, but still if they are not going away, see a vet as it is highly likely they need treatment of some kind. |

| It appears to have been ant bites. Molokai only has a few that remain and those have developed a thin scab that falls off when scratched. The others have receded. I can only guess that he wasn't smart enough to get up when he started getting bit. All is now well, thanks for the replies. kb :) |
