Rotti ate a mouse

I was in the farm today and I noticed that my rotti was sniffing a lot in a certain area. As I walked over, it seemed like he just finished eating what looked like a mouse. I'm not 100% sure but it really seemed like it.

How harmful will the mouse be for a dog? He is 5.5 months old and has all of his shots.

Aw! a little fresh meat in his diet. As long as the mouse didn't eat any poison, I wouldn't be concerned about it.

Good to hear!! I don't have any mouse/rat poison in the farm so the chances of the mouse carrying poison is slimer.

Thanks for the help.;)

:D LOL...my rottie girl also used to catch mice when she was young. Pounced like a cat. :D She never ate them, just played with them like toys. I agree with the others, it won't hurt him.

My male dog hides behind me and the cat hides behind him and our puppy bravely gets the mouse as we all hide behind each other.

Our dogs would have to get past the 'rat zapper 2000' to get to the mice here...darn thing zaps 'em dead...easy to dispose of 'em too...and before ya'll say EWWWWWW...the dang things are in the BEDROOM and trust me...it's a quick death when they go in there...easier to kill 'em that way than use regular traps which don't always kill the buggers...darn thing has a high voltage warning on it!

This 'rat zapper 2000' sounds interesting. Did you buy it at a hardware store?
