Daily Bile Blobs

Well I'm taking him to the vet today, but was wondering if anyone had an idea as to why he pukes up brown yellow goo puddles every morning?

I did a search and found a few hints to try, like small amount of food before bedtime.

Thanks if you have any other suggestions

:)

When does the vomiting occur?? First thing when he wakes up? After drinking water? After a short romp in the yard?? Does he eat grass at all?? Could be a myriad of things, or nothing at all...

Could be that something he sleeps on irritates his esophagus and he vomits to get rid of the irritation...could be something he breathes in the house that causes it.

Things we smell are far more potent to a dog. I no longer use anything with ammonia in it...*I* hate the smell, I cannot imagine the way it smells to the dogs!

Best to get a vet checkup to rule out anything medical and then go with advice, unstead of the other way around.

I don't know how old he is but some dogs will do that occasionally until they mature. I had a pup once and she would vomit approximately 7 hours after eating. We gave he Pepcid (our vet prescribed it) and she out grew it at around a year old. Best thing is to have the dog checked out by a vet, depending on how long this has been going on, he may want to scope the dog.

If scratching at the ears, it could be an infection - caused by a million things, completely unrelated to the vomiting! Do you have nylon or other artificial fiber carpeting in the house?? A friend of mine had a dog with incredibly rotten ear infections, treated him with yeast infection medication for women! She moved out of the place with the nylon carpets, into a place with hardwood floors and got cotton area rugs (secured to the floor with non slip rug mats and staples!) and the infetcions clere dup in a metter of weeks...

If nothing comes from the vomiting visit to the vet, you might end up with a prescription of Pepcid or Tagamet, and remember to ask how to clean the ears (and do it OUTSIDE so he can shake his head and you won't have to clean the walls afterwards!)!!!

Well the Vet (ugh, Banfield's, yeah I know but the girl that works there is gorgeous) gave me Amoxicilian, Epi-Otic, and Otomax.

Did I do good? $135.00?

On an unrelated note, every Saturday at the Aurora Pet's Mart a couple brings in the most beautiful Rott pups. I wish my guy looked like those two (I love my pup more than anything, but...), I am truly envious. My guy looks like a lab at times, while those guys look "German". Big and bulky for being so young. I guess different parents bring different looks.
