I'm so sorry to hear about your girl also. Please know that I'll be thinking about you in the days to come. You have a lot of support here. Please come back whenever you need to. There are SO many people here who have been through this & it's such a wonderful support. (HUGS!)

I'm so sorry to hear about this final diagnosis. Be blessed for the time you have had with her, and cherish your remaining hours with her.

She will be at peace when she goes because she will be in your arms. She does not know there is a tomorrow and she will not wonder what is happening. All she will know is that she is going to sleep in your arms.

We are all here for you, God Bless you at this trying time.

I'll be thinking of you

Bless your heart for making that very difficult decision:( . You did all you could do sweetie and now the best gift is to let her go as I know you've made your decision. I'm so very sorry but please have peace in knowing you did everything you could possibly do and then some. Hugs to you and please know you'll be in my prayers:( .

I'm no longer a very active member here although it's no wonder you are the first people I turn to when I need support. How selfish of me... :( but you are truly a wonderful group and so passionate about our breed.

All of your kind words and support will be with me forever. Your replies have guided me to make the most difficult decision I've ever had to make and helped me understand it was the best for her, even though it hurts me so much to see her leave.

My 3rotties have been together for 9 years, she was my adopted Princess at 9 months old and I have many fond memories, albums full of photos, and a computer full of digitals to keep those memories alive.

This afternoon Princess had visitors that traveled great distances to come say goodbye and show her how much she was loved, and still is. My 4-year-old nephew painted me a picture of what he says is the Rainbow Bridge. It is as beautiful as her.

Princess went to the bridge peacefully at 6:08 pm where she joins many of your loved friends and some of her own.

Rest in Peace, Princess. What a lucky girl to have lived your life with such a good owner. Say hi to all our friends at the Bridge, okay? :)

I'm terribly sorry

rottie girl I am so sorry as I sit here in tears after reading your post, I realize you were very kind in the decision you made for your Princess. You gave her the best gift anyone could give. We all know you loved her and did everything you could possibly do, have peace with that my friend. May Princess rest in peace and find my 2 rotties and a GSD also at the bridge, waiting for her to play. Take care sweetie and know you'll be in my thoughts and prayers. HUGS!!!

SYMPATHY

rottie girl,I'm new here but wanted to let you know how sorry I am about your girl.I just had to put my 12 year old Fat Beagle,Jodi, to sleep last week. Her cancer had moved to her lungs and it was time.It is,I feel, one of the hardest decisions one ever is faced with. From the posts I've read, your girl was loved dearly and you went above and beyond trying to save her. It's never easy admitting there's nothing left to do,no where else to turn, but that final act of love.Feel easy as you did what was best for her and she knew she was loved and most precious to you.

Thank you all, reading your supportive words brings tears to my eyes but I have been doing well as I do know I did everything I could. I'm very close to my dogs, I have no children and so they have always been a huge part of my life. I devote much of my time to their happiness as what they return is worth every second.

Rottie girl,
I wasn't able to read yesterday but I too wanted to express my sincere sympathy and understand how you feel. You did do everything possible and as I said earlier, just have peace in knowing you saved her from more pain. So many people love their animals that they can't bring themselves to help them cross the bridge but I believe true love is helping them go peacefully.
Time will heal. God be with you,

justrj
