I am not for sure on this, but some Rotties do end up having white patches when the are older that never go away. Is it just a few white hairs or is it actually a patch?

White patches are fairly common in the breed, particularly ones that aren't so stringently bred. Even reputable breeders with long lines of champions can still produce an occasionaly white patch. It's a disqualifying fault for conformation, but won't affect the health or temperment of your dog.

It may be vitilago. Here are two links on it that mention it:

Undercoat white-vet said it's ok!

I have checked with two vets, both of them said it's okay. It maybe inherited but the breeder said both parents have nothing like that.

Oh, will the rottie ever stop chewing when they grow older? My Roxy bits the wiring under my hubby's car. She has demaged the oxygen sensor and the ABS system!!! Two months ago she broke the autogate wiring too. I have given her plenty of toys to play and chew but somehow she only look for wires!!! Now we park our car outside to avoid further demages. :(

WHy is the dog in the garage?? Is she unsupervised in there?? She could do worse things than damage the car...like get herself tangled in something and stangle herself! Garages are for cars (try telling that to my hubby - our garage is for his racing go-karts!) and houses are for dogs and people...no dog should live in a garage, especially a 3.5 month old puppy!

Sorry

Ah! not garage. I am from Malaysia, we don't have garage here. I am living in a double-storey link house. I let the dog stay at the front house(what we so called car porch) as my Roxy is shedding a lot. :D She is still within the house compound.

I bought Bitter apple spray and sprayed wires on my phone electrical wires to the TV and such, they hated the taste,I hope you can get it there,You can put it on corners of your furniture or wherever they chew as it will not stain or anything, just be careful what you buy is not toxic to dogs,I don't know what they have in your country,,,,This product is made mainly for this problem....

Maglee, our puppies are currently 7 months old and they still love to chew on anything they can sink their teeth into. Two days ago I left the puppies in the truck for a few minutes while we tried to load a friends horse into the horse trailer. When I came back to the truck after only 5 minutes Keil had chewed the first three chapters of my daughters book, chewed up one of my library books, and chewed up my water bottle so my seat was soaking wet http://www.click-smilie.de/sammlung/...smiley-017.gif I was furious! Of course the only one I could be mad at was myself because I know better and should not have left them unattended. At least the library book he chewed up was a book I would have purchased anyway and it is still readable.

My little angel Akasha had nothing to do with any of the chewing and was sound asleep in the back seat http://www.click-smilie.de/sammlung/...smiley-027.gif Of course I wouldn't be surprised if she hadn't given the books to her brother after chewing on them herself. http://www.click-smilie.de/sammlung/...smiley-007.gif
Actually Akasha has always been very good in the truck and I have never had her get into anything when she is left alone (it is the only place she doesn't get into trouble unattended). Keil on the other hand has demolished every water bottle left in the truck with him when we leave him in there. Needless to say he won't be left alone again
