| Little bumps on the backside of my boys neck Does anyone know what could be happenign if my boy Calvin has small, dry bumps on the skin of his neck? My wife discovered them recently and we were wondering if anyone knew what it is. Thanks :D |

| How many? In a pattern? Under his collar? Have you been brushing him alot lately? What kind of food does he eat? Do you live in a flea and tick zone?

| Just possibly they could be scabs left over from tick bites (ticks like to hold conferences on the neck) or if he has a playmate, they could be scabs from being grabbed. |

| I just did a little investigating on your prior posts and I would bet they are scabbed over tick bites. Are you using a good preventative now? Oops, I see Judi W just posted. I second that!:D

| Thank you for your replies . To answer your questions the bumps are where the collar is directly behind his neck but I do not think it is from his collar. The tick question from an earlier thread was located by his back leg. He did have a tick or two in the general area of his neck but we managed to get them out before he noticed them. In the last few weeks we have used Frontline and are going ot use this on a continuing basis. The bumps almost seem like it is dry skin - kind of hard and they come to a head. He also does not like when we are examining him but it is obviously a necessary evil. I guess we will wait a few days and moniter the situation. Thanks again for your assistance.:) :p |
