not eating

Sara is almost 2. I feed her Canidae, 1.5 cups in the am and pm. Usually she wolfs this down in a minute.

For the last week, she really hasn't been eating. She will nibble on her morning bowl throughout the day.

My mom was here for a week, and her dogs were here, and then we were at my parents house for a week.

She seems normal otherwise.

Did I happen to get a bad bag maybe? Or is this something I should be concerned about?

It is possible to get a bad bag. You should check the date on the bag and give it a good smell too. Also you might try offering her a different food to see if she's even hungry. Go to your feed store and get a little sample bag - you regular food or something similar.

Also, is Sara a big girl? Is she getting at least 2 cups in by the end of the day? You also mentioned that your mom was there with her dogs and then you were somewhere else for a week, do you think that has gotten her out of her routine and she's just off her feed? Seasons are changing right now too, maybe that is having a factor on her apitite?

That might be it. She is actually eating now. She is about 75lbs. The food doesnt expire til Jan 04 and it smells fine to me.

She wasn't getting as much exercise as usual, and she was probably sneaking the other dogs food.

She usually eats 3 cups per day. The last week, I would say she was getting about 1.5-2cups.
