| Poo Problem (WARNIG! VERY GROSS!) I have no clue if this is normal or not, or if I should get her to the vet. When she takes a poo, it is a little runny, but there is also a jelly like discharge, not alot, but enough to make a quarter sized puddle. Sorry this is so gross, but should I take her to the vet, or does this happen? I have only noticed it last night and today. Last night the poo was firm, but today it is runny. Does anyone know what this might be? |

| Hmm...sounds like she may be expressing her anal glands. Anyone? Just be very sure it is NOT mucous. Now, that would worry me. |

| Sounds like mucous to me. If you swiched suddenly (rather than gradually) to the Canidae, she could have an upset stomach because of it. I'd take her to the vet to make sure she's okay (take a fresh stool sample with you if possible, including some of the mucous), in a young puppy, dehydration from diarrhea can happen surprisingly quickly. |

| Poo Problem (warning very gross) Mercedes, It sounds to me like colitis. Probably caused by a chill on her tummy due to the bath. She needs antibiotics There is a good Dorwest Herb treatment called tree Bark Powder which is really good and put her on a light diet of fishor chicken and boiled rice for a few days. It goes without saying if you are worried then take her to the vets |

| Did this happen the day after the bath? She may have licked the soap or drank some soapy water. That would make her runny. If she is not better by morning call the vet.(if you haven't already) It is ok to skip a meal, but they still must drink.

| What things could it be? No one is giving me any help here. If someone know what this could be, please help. She is going to the vet tomorrow afternoon, so any help until then would be nice. |

| Mercedes - it could be MANY things and just to tell you what it could be would only worry you and we dont know what it is. But I would get her seen ASAP if she has a temp or vomiting with the runny stools. I know you are worried and want answers but giving our options on something we really have no idea about because we cant see the dog nor our we vets would only stress you more. Relax, take a hot bath. (Easier said than done, I know) Hugs, Kim

| Mercedes, a similar thing happened when I switched Sparkle to Canidae. I thought it would clear up with time, but never did. Sometimes her poops were hard, sometimes runny, and sometimes she had that same discharge. I gave up and switched to a different food. |

| She is going to the vet in a few hours now, so hopefully I will be able to tell you all what is is. She doesn't have a temp and isn't vomiting. I haven't seen any of the discharge yet today, so mabey nothing is wrong. Either way, she is still going to the vet. |
