Raised red lump

Butkus my 4-year old male has a red lump the size of a marble on the top inside of his rear thigh. It looks like a strawberry. Any one have any ideas as to what it could be? He is not licking it or does not seem to be in pain from it. I noticed it last night when I was playing with him. I have an appointment tonight for a Vet visit.

Thanks in advance,

Brian

Maybe a really nasty bug bite? I don't know, but I'm glad you're taking him to the vet! :)

Let us know what the vet has to say about the lump.

I am hoping it is a spider bite. We seem to have a lot of spiders in my house. Hopefully that is all it is. Thanks for all the replies.
