Cruciates!!

And another thing while I am here!
What is happening with cruciates!!!
In the big breeds it is quite a common problem but now I am seeing it in little cross breeds and terriers and we also have a cat that is going to have its cruciate operated on.
Now my vet is of the opinion that it is an auto immune problem, well if that is the case WHY? Why are we seeing so many ligament problems........again could this be due to lack of minerals and things in complete foods and even if we feed naturally with all the intensive farming in this country are there any nutrients left?
I would really like to hear ANY theories on this at all?

This is very interesting because a vet we use mentioned the auto-immune system theory to me when I had our last cruciate done last month.

I would love to see some of the research or thoughts behind this theory as well!

I too am very interested in info or any research done on this.

Our ACL problems raised their ugly head at about 16 months of age. This dog was on a BARf diet since she was weaned.
