Cancerous Tumor

Hi everyone. I had to come here and tell you guys about this.
Cane had a little knot come up beside his penis over the weekend. Well, Monday night I noticed that it was getting bigger so I took him to the vet yesterday. She looked at it and squeezed it and some clear fluid came out of it. Then she got a needle and got some of the fluid to look at under the microscope. When she came back, she said that it was full of white blood cells and that there were a few cancerous cells. She put him on antibiotics and said to bring him back in a week and if it isn't gone they would have to to surgery.
He is only 16 weeks old and she said that it is really rare for a pup of that age to have anything like that. Has anyone here ever been through this?
Like I've said before, we did get him from a BYB so there was no contract or health certificates. Before I found you guys I thought that being AKC registered was what was important. Anyway, that's another thread. I just wanted to see if anyone else had anything like this happen. He is my baby and this really has me worried. Thanks for all the help!

I'm so sorry to hear about your little guy...:( I don't know anything about it just wanted to offer some words of encouragement.... I am hoping it could be something benign...

I just can't see how a little guy could have developed something like cancer already??? unless it is something passed on, and I don't know about that either.... I hope you get help on this, and please keep us posted...:(

I didn't know vets could see cancerous cells like that! Of course yours may have more advanced lab equipment than mine.

I'm glad you were paying that much attention!!! I have no info to offer you, but wanted you to know we'll be wishing Cane well!!
