Transfer Factor? Anyone?

I was curious if anyone has tried Transfer Factor for their dogs, or themselves. Alex's vet recommended that we give it a try (Alex has cervical disk disease and arthritis in his spine). I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with it. He's been on TF Canine Complete for about a week now, so I'm hoping we'll see some results in a few more weeks.

Here's a thread on immune system boosters where it was mentioned:

When I was having autoimmune problems with my Axel, it(transfer factor) was one of the things my holistic vet suggested. He's says it's great stuff. We ended up not using it tho however, so all I know about it is what our vet said.
I trust our vet very much, and he really knows his stuff. :D

I investigated it for Luna, too. She can't use it because of her inability to absorb fats, though...... darn!

Thanks for the replies. I have heard some pretty exciting things about it from the vet, especially for dogs with cancer. She seemed to think it would also help with the swelling in his spine. We'll just wait and see.

There are also some vets who see the benefits of accupuncture...

Acupuncture

Alex has been receiving acupunture treatments for about five months now. It has made a world of difference, although I can still tell he's a little uncoordinated in his rear legs, and we've only been able to stretch out his treatments to every two to three weeks. But I would still whole heartily recommend it.

I love TF products!! I found the canine complete about a year ago and tried it on my dog with a lung disease. After two months on the TF her bloodwork showed some improvements. She has now been on TF for over a year and I am believe that it has helped her live a quality life. I believe in the stuff so much I became a distributor to be able to buy the stuff a little cheaper. I have never used canine complete for any arthritis but please let me know how it works. I can tell you that Transfer Factor is working on a senior canine formula hopefully to be out this year. It is still in research and development but I have been lucky enough to get a can to try on my HD dog and I saw some really good improvement in her. I hope it works for your dog.
