TPLO Surgery

I spoke to the Surgeon about Roxie and he feels that if we fix up her knee she should be fine for some time with her hip on supplements.

He feels we should do an exploratory knee surgery. She does have a problem with her knee and they will most likely do TPLO. It may be the maniscus. I have an appointment for the surgery on January 27.

The xrays we had originally taken for Roxie were not for her hips. The doctor thought she had a problem with her bones such as pano or something else (i do not remember the name). There was, however, a picture of her hips taken. They also xrayed her knees. They were not taken correctly for a hip x-ray. I can only have hope that maybe they are better than they thought, (hopefully not worse).

We are seeing a different vet now. He is at a vet hospital and they have a special surgeon to come in and do TPLO. There are only a few that do the surgery in the State as far as I understand.

I will be glad to have it done and get her so she can walk again without pain.
