| determining how much to feed... I'm just curious if there's a way to determine how much food to feed your dog vs the "suggested" amounts on the back of the bags (or even how you BARF-ers do it :)). Like weight+age+activity level= average number of calories? Now that Amber is close to her ideal weight I'm tapering her food but I want to be sure that I'm feeding her enough. Thanks, Nina

| I feed raw, and don't weigh anything. I don't think there's any hard & fast formulas...just feed what seems to be about right & adjust as needed. I'll bet this has been discussed in the nutrition forum, you could search there. :)
