Heart Worm Medication

Does anyone use Heart worm medicine on a regular basis. Here in japan the recommend it allot but my friend told me he only uses it during the summer months. I have to get some more next week. I just wanted to know if anyone else uses it on a regualr basis and do you use it all year round.

Use to use Interceptor but my female became HW positive even on this medication.. now having treated her successfully with a purley holistic/natural treatment - I only use the HW nosodes as a preventative.. no more chemicals for me ;)

I also use Heartguard year-round. Where I live, Washington, DC, it is not unusual to have periods of warm weather in the middle of winter and see mosquitoes.
