(Carole,
When you post there is a link over on the left that says "Smilies Legend". [and you have to be typing your new post to get the link available]. When I click on the Legend link, another window opens and it shows you what to type.
If you type (and I have to spell these now or the smilies will appear...) colon right-parentheses

you get a smilie face. Some of the more cool ones you need to first type a colon then the word then a colon.

All with no spaces.

So coloncoolcolon gets that neat guy with his sunglasses on!


I finally just printed that page out and have it taped on the monitor so I can remember how to do all those smilies.

I`m going to try it. My gus is finally :}. He was :confused for so long about how to act. Not it`s :cool to have him around. Don`t laugh if this comes out wierd, OK?

Wrong parenthesis, Carole....
(You need to use the parenthesis that come with Shift-9 or Shift-0) No curlycue parenthesis or the other one is called a bracket. Those are not the same.)

And it looks like you forgot the ending colon on some of those special word smiles:
