prong collar preferred?

I recently attended a schutzhund club for the first time. The first thing they suggested was that I get a prong collar for my boy (they All use them, plus some e-collars). I have seen some posts that state a prong collar is even more humane than a choke collar. The head of the club said "Do you want to choke him or do you want to train him?" Since I am new to schutzhund, I wanted to know how some of you other members felt about the prong collar. Thanks...Skip

They work great and are much safer than a choke collar. On a choke collar, it puts all the pressure on their throat. With a prong, it evenly distrubutes it around the entire neck.
