PINCH COLLARS...

I wanted to say thank you to those of you (many Senior members) who made me realize that a pinch collar if used properly is not torture for my dog. I am always actively training her and I would never use it as a crutch, but as she has just turned one this week, we are going through a lot of adolecent issues and she's very strong now so I needed the corrections to be understood without fail. Last night I purchased a pinch collar and it is wonderful. I read the studies that were suggested in this link about how the old style choke collars can cause damage....it made perfect sense - it required constant force on my part to get her to notice a correction on her old choke collar. Now she responds right away....I'm planning to use it through some of this adolescent phase.....get her even better trained than she already is and then only use the pinch collar when necessary!! Thanks for all of you help and advice, I feel much better this morning knowing I am not collapsing my poor baby's trachea or causing other potential harm.
I need to post more pictures, you guys should see her now - I need to get her in a ring somewhere - I know I'm biased but I am quite certain she is one damn fine looking Rottie by all standards.
