Puppy Training Classes

What are peoples opinions on Puppy classes, when should you enroll your rottie if you should... where is a good place to take the classes at your local pet shop or at your local club?

Puppy classes are fantastic http://www.rottweiler.net/rottie/smile.gif But...if you're planning on doing SchH with your puppy; your SchH club is where the Puppy Classes take place http://www.rottweiler.net/rottie/wink.gif

Thanks I am really reluctant to just leave my puppies training to just anybody, I wish I could do it all myself =) But I figure once he gets his next booster and such, maybe one more after that, I will let him start to go out =)

Well there sure aren't SchH clubs around every corner...and sometimes; you pass 3 on the way to get to the ONE that offers the best training.

Same with every sport; SchH is no different.

The only way to find one that suits you is to visit a bunch. http://www.rottweiler.net/rottie/smile.gif

Puppy training classes are a great way to start socializing your pup, and provide some very basic training. I would wait until after your pup's last parvo shot, and then sign up. When I went looking for a class, I visited several different places, until I found a trainer that I liked, and then signed up. It was a private company, and I've kept Odin in their Obedience courses, and it's worked great. I would just shop around until you find a trainer that you are impressed with. Just let these places know you are "shopping" for a class, and they shouldn't mind you sitting in and watching. Good luck!
