pinch collar- stupid questions

I am gonna go to the archives to look for the answers, but in the meantime I would appreciate if someone would answer couple of my questions.
My wife was advised by the trainer to start using pinch collar while on the walk for a better correction, but we forgot to ask few basic questions.
Can the pinch collar be left on the dog when he is playing with other dog. It would seem to me that during the play the other dog can grab the collar and my dog will receive a pinch without deserving it.
Can he wear a pinch collar and a regural nylon collar or a choke chain at the same time? It would be just for convinience when my wife takes him to the park to play with other dogs, she would take off the pinch and off he goes to play with the other collar.
Is pinch collar safe to use with long (say 20feet) leashes?
TIA

No, the pinch should only be on the dog when it is attached to a leash. The same goes for a slip collar.

Yes, he can and you can change the lead from one to the other, However, again remove both when the dog is playing with other dogs. Playing dogs have gotten their jaws caught when grabbing each other and it is a horrifying experience to try to seperate them. Use a plain buckle collar during play times.

Yes, again only use training collars with a lead of some kind.

Make sure the trainer shows you how to fit and use the pinch before going off with one. An incorrectly fitted pinch is useless.

I'm not sure there would be a purpose to use a pinch (prong) collar with a 20 foot lead. (Others corrrect me if I am wrong on this, please).

I am also pretty sure you do not want to be using it with one of those flexi leads. It is a training tool, and with the flexi leads the limit of the lead keeeps changing so they are not really good for training.

I realize that pinch collar is a training tool, and most of the training we do on the short lead. The trainer advised my wife to use pinch collar on the walks because Homer started testing her quite a bit (she is the only one that is suppose to use the pinch, I should wait with switching the collars for a week or two - this apparently should show the dog that my wife has more authority). And yes we are using flexi lead all the time, guess we are just have to be even more carefull with that.
Thanks again
