Max passed his CGN!!

This morning!!!! Yeah! And on his 9mo birthday too. He was so well behaved, did everything I asked him to do. Even got complemented on his sit/stay while in supervised isolation. And didn't break his sit/stay while I came back to him either! Did amazingly well on the stranger with dog test. Didn't run to play or anything. Just a "leave it" from me and that was that.

Can't wait for the paperwork to get sent to me. I'm going to frame it!

Re: Max passed his CGN!!

CGN is a CKC title and CGC is an AKC title. As far as I know, the tests are the same.

Congratulations! Good work for you and Max.
I do remember that it takes awhile for the official diploma to come. I think around 4 months or so. You will also get the option of ordering a patch that you can sew on to something.

Hope Max got a good treat on the way home?

Gina

Re: Max passed his CGN!!

Thanks Gina! We are so proud of our little guy! Since it's also his 9mo birthday, I went out and bought us (mainly me, since I wanted to celebrate my part in his pass) a bakery cheesecake and gave him a couple of licks. Just a tiny bit, and he liked it. I kept the lion's share for myself

He definitely earned it!!

BTW... he's still out like a light! If he didn't give the odd snore, I'd swear he was dead! I'm pretty tired too. That test took a lot out of us. I was very nervous, but he was great and I somehow got it together to stay clam and encouraging.

4 months is a long time! I'll have to figure out a place to put his patch. I'm thinking of trying out therapy, so I may keep it and put it on his bandana if/when we go for the testing.

I think we're both going to sleep well tonight!

Congrats!!!

What a great title to have at a young age. Paradise was almost 3 when she got hers.
