Re: Bitch won't pee! I co-own a bitch that was like this as well! Her first trip to Nationals, she did not pee for 3 days!!! And that included walks, ball playing, biking, you name it! What finally turned the corner for us - although she is still not as good about going as her sister - is going lots of new places and really working, like herding. It is really hard to cover those sheep when one is sloshing about! One thing I learned from a friend is to not always put the dog away right after they go. If the dog likes to explore, it will teach them to hold it for as long as possible in order to stay outside. As far as peeing, a vet suggested making them a strong cup of coffee with lots of cream and some sugar so they want to drink some; caffeine will stimulate their bladder just like it does in humans! Fortunately, my co-bitch got the hang of going before we had to resort to this but bet it would work!

Re: Bitch won't pee! one of my girl's was like that. she held it one time for about 18 hours. it did not matter what i did. so that day, i took her on a patch of grass, and she finally went. once she started to go, i kept saying, pee pee, good girl, and kept repeating it. i was very persistent. she finally got it. now she will in a minute. every time after that, i would always say pee pee good girl, and praised her like no tomorra. as well, i would take another one of my dogs with me, he would go, and she would follow him, and finally go. she had issues about being on a leash, not in her own yard, Big Time. But that is the only way i could get her to go out of her own turf.

Re: Bitch won't pee! my 6 month is the same, we can walk forever but will never go, but lately he has been sniffing around more........ i'm guessing as he gets older he will start to go on the walks, my 6 yr old will basically mark every single tree he passes to the point where he just puts his leg up and he has no more pee coming out....LOL
