N VT trainers

I am fairly new to this site, and I have been looking in my local area for trainers and all the trainers I can find are fine talking over the phone and when the question of the breed I have comes up they tell me that they dont do big dogs is what I got from one of them and the other said that she does not work with rotties or most big dogs. Anyone from the vermont area that has any advise on where to go for training. Thanks in advance.

I was born and raised in St. Albans... but I haven't lived in Vermont since 1993, so I'm not much of a help... My parents and family are still there, but I don't know a lot about the dog community in the area...

I would maybe consider contacting the Greyhound Rescue (by BFA's Collin's Perley Sport Complex) and see if they have any suggestions for trainers.

Also, the closest Schutzhund club from one of the schutzhund organization is located in Shelburne... You can find their contact information at USA Clubs - New England (scroll down to find O.G. Boston SchH Club). Maybe Karen can give you some ideas. She has GSD's. Email her and let her know what you're looking for.

Here's also a link of obedience like clubs in Vermont... You may want to contact the Golden Retriever Club, Burlington Obed Training Club and the Champlain Valley Kennel Club... Vermont Dog Clubs They may know of people in the Franklin County area who can help you.
