Any Cute Trick Ideas??

Hello,

My 1 yr old needs to learn a 'secret trick' for graduation for her obedience class. We use clickers/treats in class. She's already learned give right paw/left paw, high five and take a bow. We need to work on something at home for the next five weeks and perform it for graduation. She learns pretty quick. Any ideas???

I had much the same assignment for our agility class and got some great ideas from the forum. It got me interested in teaching Zoe some other tricks, so I checked out Dog Tricks for Dummies by Sarah Hodgkins. Lots of good tricks and how to teach them in there. You could teach her to circle left and right by leading her with a treat. Gosh, with a Rottie's smarts, you have time to teach her several things and get extra credit.

I have taught 'spin' (circle left), 'twirl' (circle right), roll over, back up, wave and bow. We worked on those in a sequence and now if you ask Arson to "tell mommy how much you want a cookie" he will go through the entire routine for you.

Also fun is crawling, covering eyes, sit pretty, speak, whisper...your imagination is pretty much your limit. Have fun!

How about teaching the spin with the command "Where's your tail?" Could be quite cute at graduation if your girl has a short stubby.
