KS trainers

I live in Louisburg KS and am looking for a female trainer for my rescue boy. He has learned to trust me and now he needs to get going on a real trainer. If any of your are from my area let me know who you would recommend. THanks Pat

Re: KS trainers

I live in KCK...but I am not a "trainer." I'm looking for obedience classes for my puppy.

Re: KS trainers

Contact Charlotte Foster at the Williams Elkhound Ranch! I started using her about 10 years ago and absolutely love her! You can also go to her web site: www.charlottethedogtrainer.com.
Another option is the Sunflower Kennel Club of Olathe, they have classes every monday night for $8 walk ins, it is only $5 for club members.

Re: KS trainers

Side note, not sure what methods your prefer, but Charlotte does not use food rewards in class (she does use them, just not in class). She encourages positive praise and short sessions. The SKC of Olathe uses more food and targets their training towards AKC Rally compititions.

There is also a DVG club in St. Joe if you felt like making the drive or the Kansas City Dog Training Club in Lees Summit for more advanced training. Hope I've given you enough to consider.

Re: KS trainers

Any Luck yet? Seeing as we are missing a breed club here, if you ever wanted to get together to train let me know.
