Peeing in house

We didn't know if it was the new kitten or Saydee. But today my husband actually saw her peeing on the rug in the dining room. She has never done this , even as a pup. The behavior started about three weeks ago. The kids came for the summer. She loves the kids and listens when they give her comands. We stated noticing a wet spot ever once in a while. We also got a new kitten around that time. She gets time with all of us yesterday we all went swiming and had a great day so that hasn't changed. This really conserns us. We would like any suggestions that you may have.

You mentioned the kids!have they been away for some time?
She may be jealous of them or the new kitten.
Hope she stops this as it can be very frustrating if she is not a puppy. :(

Hans did the same thing. We took him to the vet and found out he had a urinary infection. The vet said the reason he started peeing in the house was because he was trying to get attention to say like hey mom i'm sick! On the other hand Shadow might be more correct because the change family (your children coming back and the kitten) could be related. Good luck and keep us posted!

Yes I can see that she can be jealous. The children do make life differant. They are only here in the summer and long holidays. She has never done this the other times. I will take her to the vet on Monday to rule out infection. Thank you for your help.

No infection :) But I'm sure now it is the kids. They have been gone for three days to see some friends in Indiana. Not peeing in the house. What I can't understand she didn't do this last summer or Christmas or Easter. Why now? I give her time . Her day has changed some and there is alot more activity. But my girl is always up for things too do. Will have to see how she is when they come back.

We rescued two rottys, brother and sister
when they were just about eight weeks old.
They are my angels, and they are soooo
good, but our female Cheyenne, always pees on our bed in her sleep, or when she gets relaxed. I NEVER scold her, because she doesn't seem aware of it.
Anyone elses female rotty do this?
Thank You erynnsmama@yahoo.com
