| This doesn't fit in show brags, but I wanted to brag so I'm putting it here. Osa graduated basic obedience this Saturday and got her diploma! After class we went to one of our favorite places, the Doggie Boutique, and got our first pair of Doggles for a graduation present and some treats to celebrate with Hope when we got home. Now we're on to advanced obedience and some drop-in agility classes to see how she likes it. Any ideas for good trainers in Northwest Ohio? |

| Re: Osa Graduated Basic Obedience! Doggles are awesome! They're Doggie sunglasses/goggles, and they're great for those pups who like to hang their head out the window. They help to block the wind and flying crap from their eyes. Plus they have types for pups who have eye problems, they come with special lenses. | Good for you and Osa! It does feel good to graduate from a class. Now onward and upward. What goals do you have with your dog? It's always nice to have something to work towards when you are training. Have you checked out CGC test? Do a google search and you will find out what you need to work towards. I am happy to hear about Rott owner's taking obedience classes with their dogs...it really is a MUST with this breed and it makes life so much more fun for you and your dog. Gina

| Re: Osa Graduated Basic Obedience! Oh yes, Osa and I have big plans! All I have to do is figure out which ones are logical, reachable goals and which ones may be a little too much right now. The trainer we worked with for basic obedience is going to start CGC classes soon so I'm going to get both Osa and Hope (if I can, she's mixed) their CGC's. I think that would be great to have for them both since their Rott's. I like taking them in public to show what well behaved, properly trained Rotties look like and having a CGC to wave at ucky people like a banner would just be all the much better lol. I've always been a little stinker that way.Next is Advanced Obedience and her IPL. I'm thinking Obedience trials and possibly Agility. I'd like to get her x-rayed first to make sure her hips and joints are good enough to take the strain. Do you have any suggestions for next steps? |

The ears are the other thing that worries me when I see dogs with heads out open windows of cars. All that flapping and banging around the wind does--that can't be good for ears, can it?? |

| Re: Osa Graduated Basic Obedience! Congratulations Osa! AristaStar you sound like a very good, responsible Rottie owner and wants what's best for your dogs (healthwise) also! Looking forward to reading about Osa's accomplishments in the future - good luck!
