| trained rottweiler My Kane is a really good dog. When i feed him his food I always. Make him sit them sit it down. Then after 5 seconds let him eat his food. He dont even go for it any more without looking at me. Almost like is it time yet. Since I do this with his food and his treats. Since he is very well behaved do i need to continue doing it. I try to do it to let him know i control everything in this house. Should i just let him eat or make him wait? He is a 2 year old rottweiler and mastiff mix. He is 115lbs. thanks |

| I don't see why you should not keep it up. Instead of asking him to "sit", you could ask him to do a "down"....or a "stand"...just to change things up. Does he sit everytime you give him a treat? or sit to get his leash on? or sit when you open the door so that he does not go running ahead of you? These actions are all good manners...and nice for your dog to know. Gina

| Re: trained rottweiler He sits for everything he does. He was getting a piece of meat today. I laid it down and told him to sit and leave it. He just sat there and gave me those sad eyes only a rottweiler can give. Till i told him he could have it. |
