HELP!!! They're messing the bed!!

Sassy is 9 months and Rachel is 7 months. Recently i moved into a new apartment, about a month ago. They aren't allowed on the bed. They get three walks a day, when they do their poop/pees, at morning, afternoon, and evenings. They've been going well on this schedule for about a month. Previously, they went on papers, and if it rains, they still go to the papers if they aren't taken out. The thing is, it already happened three times, they go on my bed!!! I'm about to go crazy because everytime i leave the house, I'm worried i come back and find an enormous mess. They are pretty much angels, they don't wreck furniture or anything, only things that you leave on the floor, that's why i opted out of crate training since they were quite reliable to leave at home for even extended periods of time.

Today however, i left the house for FIVE MINUTES. Two hours ago they just had their walk! But when i came back, WHAMMO! Enormous mess. I didn't correct them the past two times, just grit my teeth and cleaned up. This time I heaved them to the bed level and said a firm "No". They didn't think they did anything wrong, and i don't think it was wrong in their eyes. This ONLY happens when i'm not in. When i'm in, they aren't on the bed at all. I don't understand this. Do they know they're not allowed? And only go up since i'm not in? Its amazing that they still could go! They were taken out just a while before. I'm thinking of placing a few penny shakers on the bed so that when they jump up, the cans will rattle. Can someone please shed some insight and give me some ideas? Should i really crate them? What about tying them up on a long leash? So they can have free run of the room, but can't get to the bed? Thank you for reading this, i know its long.

You and your pups would greatly benefit from proper use of a crate for each when they cannot be closely supervised.

A 7 month and 9 month old pup need to go out far mor then 3 times a day!!! I think it would be very hard for me somedays to only go to the bathroom 3 times.
They are still very much puppies and you cannot expect them not to get into touble left loose. Your bed will have the smell in it and they will keep using it as their bathroom. Put them in crates when you can't watch them and when they are more mature try again for short periods of time. Also keep your bedroom door closed and please don't leave them tied, this is cruel and not good for rotts.
Good luck!
