Flyball collar or Flyball Harness?

Ok since flyball is our new obsession, I need to go shopping!!!!

I need to buy either a flyball harness or a collar. It has been suggested to me that the harness is a better because it takes the strain off the dogs neck when he's pulling like crazy to start his run. Bear IS a puller...Could a flyball collar do some serious neck damage any thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: Flyball collar or Flyball Harness?

Charleigh and Omen both wore harnesses when they were racing. Not only was it much easier on their necks, it was much easier to hold them while waiting in a line up. I used to run a 65 lb Border Collie who wore only a flyball collar, and it nearly killed me
