Take her to the vet and get her checked for urinary tract infection. Sometimes when they start going without rhyme or reason it's because of that. If it's not that start all over with the crate traing and take her out every hour. Check the archives about housebreaking. Good-luck

How long is she spending in the crate?

When she marks a spot in the house are you there to discipline at that very moment? I don't use news paper; gives your dog the impression it's okay to pee in the house. The only place it's acceptable is "outside".

Try and dedicate a solid day with her, no newspaper, leaving her out of the crate for extended periods, and get her used to peeing outside. Everytime she starts to go in the house, or even in the crate; if you can see her, yell "NO", quickly run to her, and put her outside. It shocks them into stopping at the moment, then once outside and everythings cool they realize "Hey, gotta do the deed" then when she goes give your praise or "go potty" command.

Keep a good eye on her, try not to let her get away with it even once. Good Luck :)

JMP, First and formost get her checked for a UTI, my pup had one at that age and it set him back a bit with the housebreaking. If she does have a UTI she has to be able to relieve herself often which means she can't be in a crate without going out every half hour or hour so if you're unable to let her out often you might want to have a specific room for her or open up her crate if it's a large one that is. I have a very large crate and it is now partioned off but when he had this problem we opened it up. I had shredded newspaper in one end and his bed in the other. It worked out beautifully because he couldn't hold it for much more then an hour at the most. Today he is almost 5 months, though it took me to almost 4 months to totally housebreak him, as for the crate, he hasen't gone in it since and we took it to the car wash in addition to cleaning it with a special cleaner so the smell wouldn't be their. Not everyone would agree with this way but it worked for us and sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. I hope this helps and things get better. My other Rotties were trained by 12 weeks but you can't compare, they're all different and if you start doing that you get really frustrated, I know so treat each one as an individual and you'll be fine and so will she, and most of all don't expect too much, stay calm and be PATIENT. Let us know how it's going. Take care, it does get better.

I have found with the rescue puppy I'm fostering (around the same age as your pup) that he imitates the behavior of my adult rott. If puppy sees him pee, then he will pee. Are you taking them outside together? The UTI is a possibility too, because going in the crate is a sign that something may be wrong. And be sure you're taking her out of the crate to pee outsied every 3 hours.

Thanks for the input. She was on medication for a UTI a few days after we got her.We suspected a UTI because then she was going or trying to go about 4 times an hour. She used Clavamox for a couple weeks and things got better.Last saturday i took her back to the vet.and they tried to do a stab into her bladder but could not get a sample(empty). She is back on Clavamox, stronger dose for about what should be 3 weeks.I hope this does it i still have a funny feeling there could be more?I hope its nothing else, they also found some signs of vaginitis. Two days back on Clavamox things are getting better but i still wonder?Hope to get a sample still to help rule out other possibilities.

Sorry to hear about your dogs infection. My last post was thinking your dog was healthy, obviously not the case now. Please disregard any discipline. I'd go easy with her, it's not a training/behavior problem, but a health problem.

A major set back in potty training, so keep up with her meds. and good luck.

I also forgot to add with a UTI make sure she gets plenty of water which will help with her discomfort level. Get her healthy then work on training.
