Montreal Trainers...?

Hi All - I want to change trainers (I won't name the one I am with... wouldn't want to get in trouble for slamming his poor results).

Anyone local know of a good trainer in Montreal or the nearby cities? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Cool

You are allowed to name trainers and training clubs.
Spread the word.

Also you may want to email the Rottweiler Club of Canada their website is www.rottclub.ca they may have some suggestions from members in the Montreal area.

Ok then here it goes.....Try Blue ribbon canine.....They are in dorval.....Amazing 2 trainers, and they do not shy away from rotties. That is where Harley graduated from...They do OB trials, and competition....They are known at RCC I believe. 100% my vote.
But whatever you do, get away from the person who is training now....Will only lead into HUGE problems..

Unhappy

On your thread entitled "Destroyer" is some info regarding your breeder. It sounds as though this plan to change is a really good idea. No puppy should be terrified of it's trainer. (And could you please go post on that thread -- a couple of the board members are really worried for you and your furbaby!)

Re: Montreal Trainers...?

I'm using JR's Dog Training in Dorval right now... I can see that Marcino is scared of him and therefore I don't think we are benefiting all that we should from the training.

Any good, safe places either in the downtown area or west island where I can take Chino off leash for some running around?

Re: Montreal Trainers...?

I should have posted this in my last response... for the local rottie owners (Montreal, west island, Hudson etc...) Are there any local clubs or get togethers for the breed?

Re: Montreal Trainers...?

I knew it......Get him away from that is abusive, I have seen many dogs never recover from his techniques. When you become a member we will contact each other. I am in the west island.....Call blue ribbon They will help you correct what the jerk started. They are in dorval too

Question Montreal Trainers...?

Have you heard the Phrase "Run don't Walk"
Please Oh Please Oh Please!! don't go back there, it is absolutely the last place you want to train.
There are a few other places I can recommend for training around Montreal, Blue Ribbon is one, but there are a couple of other places I could recommend as well.

Re: Montreal Trainers...?

I had a wonderful chat with Blue Ribbon this afternoon... we are enrolled for November 28th (in a pretty junior class, but it will be good to do a refresher and undo the previous training). I'm really looking forward to it :)
Cheryl, if you can, you should join as well Saturday... we can start a little DDO Rottie Fest ;)
